The main changes are another parameter added to the config.php file, instructions for how to avoid the forced password change at login and how usernames should be added to the system. Academic Suite's Learning Environment Integration feature allows a Learning Management System to co-exist with and run within the Academic Suite framework. This integration is enabled via a Learning Environment Connector (LEC) that provide the communication protocols between Academic Suite and the integrated system. Similar to Building Blocks, a Connector provides specific "extension points" for
interactions between the Blackboard application and the integrated system, such as authenticating a session or creating a URL for redirection into an online course.
The installation process involves
- Installing a Moodle Building Block connector in Blackboard
- Configuring the Moodle Learning Environment Integration
- Deploying the Moodle php code on the Moodle system
- Configuring the Moodle files
